WHAT WE DO

The Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County area believes every child deserves a great future. Unfortunately, a growing number of today’s youth face tremendous barriers to success.

The Club’s mission is to improve the lives of children and their families by focusing on academic success, healthy lifestyles, character building and leadership. From offering high-yielding after-school programming and full-day summer care to partnering with more than 26 area businesses to provide teens with real-world job experiences and keeping them on track to graduate through its “Be Great Graduate” program, the Club is setting up children to achieve great things.

Club programming requires hard work, dedication and a supportive community. The Club offers youth fun, engaging activities, opportunities to make new friends, a hot meal and the freedom to embrace their individuality. This is referred to as the “Club Experience.”

The Boys & Girls Club offers not only a safe, positive environment to set the foundation for life-changing youth development work, but provides an atmosphere of belonging while establishing expectations of respect, civility and courtesy. The Club’s goal is to turn childrens’ time inside its walls into experiences that enable them to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens of the Ripon community and beyond.

CASE FOR SUPPORT

The Ripon community has changed over the years, and not always for the better. While the pandemic impacted the economic landscape for Ripon businesses, local youth and their families have had to wrestle with an increasing incidence of poverty, domestic violence, mental health challenges and substance abuse. More than ever, families need access to low or no-cost services that will improve the trajectory of children’s lives as they navigate an ever-challenging world. The Boys & Girls Club of the Tri-County Area’s Ripon club will offer programming for all youth to assist working families in caring for, feeding, educating and preparing local youth to be productive, contributing members of the Ripon community. Your gifts for today’s youth are an investment in Ripon’s tomorrow for residents, employers and the community’s quality of life, expectations of respect, civility and courtesy. The Club’s goal is to turn children’s time inside its walls into experiences that enable them to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens of the Ripon community and beyond.
